Vintage Mexican silver miniature sombrero featuring detailed hand-tooled floral and foliate decoration throughout the brim and crown, twisted-rope edging, and an attached decorative chin cord.
Measures approximately 4 inches across as shown in photos.
Marked MEXICO / HECHO EN MEXICO / 900/1000, indicating 900-fineness silver.
Displays a dark, naturally aged patina with oxidation, surface scratches, wear and discoloration consistent with age. I have left the original patina intact rather than aggressively polishing the piece. Attractive vintage Mexican silver decorative object with excellent detail and character.
