While exact compositions and weights can vary depending on the specific manufacturer or private mint that produced it during the late 1970s, these collector items typically share a few common characteristics:
* Commemorative Era: Released around 1978 for Walt Disney Productions' 50th-anniversary milestone for Mickey Mouse.
* Design: Features a classic depiction of Mickey Mouse with open arms, surrounded by the text "Mickey's 50th" at the top and the dual years "1928–1978" on the right.
* Composition: Many of these private-issue souvenir bars and tokens from that era were produced as brass, bronze, copper, or silver-plated art bars rather than pure precious metal, though certain versions were struck in solid silver or gold-plate.
