Vintage RMT 1976 Flxible New Look 1:87 HO Scale Bus w/Rolling Wheels-Rare, NR: $59.95
This vintage 1:87 HO Scale model was made by Dave Roberts under the RMT (Roberts Miniature Transports) brand in the 1970s; it is a replica of the Flxible New Look transit bus that faithfully served many North American cities. Produced from 1961 through 1978, some of these stylish coaches ran public service well into the early 2000s. Bus started life as a solid one-piece Hydrocal plaster body made in kit form (dated 1976), and was professionally built by Star City Customs in 2016; it has been painted in a period 1970s livery based on Pentran (Hampton, VA) buses that ran during that era, and features rolling Budd 5-hole wheels on rubber tires and metal axles, plus mudflaps and rear exhaust for added realism. Bus features detailed styling, lights, and trim, plus "Hampden" rollsign destination, fleet no. 618, Flxible logos, metal rear A/C grille mesh, and windshield wipers; it does have slight roof paint imperfections as shown, but is in otherwise displayable shape. Leave it as-is, touch it up, or rebuild it to your liking; it's up to you! Great for bus drivers, transit enthusiasts, and model railroad layouts.
