**RARE HISTORICAL ANTIQUE SIEGEL, COOPER & CO PROMOTIONAL/ADVERTISING PLAYING CARDS - BLUE DECK (1899-1904)**
Up for sale is an exceptional piece of early 20th century Americana - an antique blue Siegel, Cooper playing & Co playing card deck manufactured by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC) between 1899-1904.
The back showcases both the New York and Chicago \"Big Store\" buildings and the the slogans \"BETTER GOODS FOR THE SAME MONEY THAN ELSEWHERE\" for the New York location and \"THE SAME GOODS FOR LESS MONEY THAN ELSEWHERE\" for the Chicago location.
The ace of spades promotes the Hazel Pure Food Co brand on a multi-colored print. Under the ace of spades the words \"THE BIG STORES\" in reference to the New York and Chicago stores.
**ABOUT SIEGEL, COOPER & Co:**
Siegel, Cooper & Co was New York City\'s premier department store, famously known as \"The Big Store\" and located on 6th Avenue. When it first opened in 1897, the New York flagship store was the biggest in the world with over 15.5 acres of salesfloor. These promotional playing cards were distributed to customers at the height of its\' popularity and have become highly sought-after collectibles due to their historical significance and rarity.
