Original galvanized steel construction with embossed STANDARD OIL CO. lettering around the neck and the original brass ownership plate reading:

A wonderful original petroleum advertising piece with excellent display appeal. The galvanized finish has developed an attractive natural patina from age while retaining a clean overall appearance. The embossed lettering and brass tag remain easily readable.
Features the original locking lid assembly, folding carry handle, and brass identification tag. One pivot bolt on the lid appears to have been replaced with a modern fastener, as shown.
