Beautiful vintage Mexican Uriarte pottery mug, hand crafted and hand painted.

Uriarte pottery is highly collectible and sought after.

This mug is from the 1960s with multicolored detailing and a softly speckled, glazed interior.

Signed and numbered on the bottom with the verified Ysauro Uriarte symbol.

3.75” high, 3.5” diameter (not incl handle), 5.5” diameter (incl handle).

In excellent vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use. No chips, cracks or crazing.

Uriarte Talavera is one of Mexico's oldest and most prestigious producers of this type of traditional pottery, using techniques that date back to the 16th century. This mug was created in Puebla, Mexico which, due to the type of clay, is the only area in the world where Uriarte pottery is hand-produced.

Uriarte pottery features intricate, vibrant and colorfully detailed designs. No two pieces are exactly alike.
