Up for sale is an authentic vintage 1930s–1940s Cairns & Brother 8-comb leather firefighter helmet, manufactured at their New York facility prior to their move to New Jersey (circa 1937–1947). This piece remains in exceptional, unrestored original condition, complete with its internal gray wool/felt cushion liner and factory circular aluminum red-and-silver interior metal crown plate marked \"CAIRNS & BROTHER... NEW YORK\".

Leather Shell & Combs: The 8 leather crown ribs (combs) are well-preserved with sharp definition. Leather displays strong structural integrity, tight brim stitching, and light surface shelf patina without dry rot or deep cracking.
Leather Shield & Hardware: Holds the original leather front shield with red and white FD inserts and stylized silver metal Maltese cross centerpiece.
Interior & Hanger: The internal wool/felt cushion liner is tight and fully intact without heavy wear. Features the original factory stamped aluminum crown medallion fastened with side pins. The original rear brass D-ring hanging hardware is present and firmly attached.
