A rare, full-length portrait of the Sioux Chief from, “History of the Indian Tribes of North America”, by Thomas L. McKenney and James Hall. SIZE: 19.75”L x 15.5”W. Written beneath portrait: “PUBLISHED BY F. W. GREENOUGH, PHILAD. Drawn Printed & Colored at E.T.Bowen’s Lithographic Establishment No 94 Walnut St. Entered according to act of Congress in the Year 1838 by F. Greenough, in the Clerk’s Office of the District Court of the Eastern District of Penn.” Hand painted folio is in VERY GOOD condition from a smoke-free environment. Well-preserved.
