WWI Houk Mfg QUICK CHANGE Wire Wheels Advertising Litho in Period Frame c. 1918 For Sale

Circa 1918, Rare survivor, WWI advertising lithograph for Houk Manufacturing Co. of Buffalo, NY for Quick-Change Wire Wheels, by artist G. Simmons. This dramatic print shows World War I soldiers quickly changing a wheel on their vehicle while fighting off an attack from the enemy that is on horseback as an aircraft looms on the horizon. Excellent condition with minimal paint wear. The period frame measures 25 3/4" X 34 3/8" while the litho measures 29 3/4" X 21". There are a few spots of paint losses on the bottom. Note this piece does not show the original signature or the hubcap and appears to be either cut or the lower section has been covered by the frame, possibly to appear a genuine painting.A fine addition to any home or collection!
