WWII Era US Engineer Department Corps New Orleans District 69 Badge Antique: $125.00
Listrd is a rare and highly collectible antique U.S. Engineer Department employee identification/security guard badge from the New Orleans District. This beautiful piece of local Louisiana military history dates back to the WWII era (late 1930s to 1940s) when civil security personnel were heavily deployed to protect vital waterways, levees, and coastal defense constructions.
The obverse features the iconic Army Corps of Engineers Triple-Turreted Castle Insignia prominently in the center, boldly stamped with the individual worker or guard identification number 69. The outer borders are crisply embossed with \"NEW ORLEANS DISTRICT\" on top and \"U.S. ENGINEER DEPARTMENT\" across the bottom banner, with a smaller \"GUARD\" banner cleanly bridging the design underneath the castle.
