WWII Era USMC Marine Corps Pith Or Sun Helmet - Named For Sale

Great WWII era khaki USMC pith helmet. Shows its age as you can see from the photos. There is a name inscribed in pencil that appears to read Martin E Thos M.C. This would indicate to me he held the rank of Master Chief. Most of the inner liner is missing but some remains. The factory mark is also present but I\'m not able to fully read it. Please see photos to judge the condition for yourself. I\'m happy to answer any and all questions, but please ask before offerding/purchasing!
