WWII Japanese Army Type 90 steel helmet shell, large size, with its original five-point metal star.
The liner is missing, but the rivets and interior attachment fittings remain. A small fragment of the chinstrap survives inside.
The exterior shows rust, pitting, and wear, with substantial original period paint remaining. Much of the interior paint also survives.
The interior has a white-painted 大 character indicating large size. Nearby is a faint diamond-shaped S maker’s mark identifying Kobe Steel, along with another stamp that appears to be the numeral 6.
Please examine all photographs carefully for the condition, remaining paint, and markings.
