It is a complicated process requiring strict control of air pressure and sand spraying precision. With Sand Matte fountain pen, the treatment is done on each pen one by one with high attention to detail - the only way to achieve this spotless and durable matte surface. Nashiji Surface Treatment: The pen body and matching metal trims are sprayed with fine sand particles to create a frosted, textured look reminiscent of traditional Japanese nashiji (pear-skin texture).
