This is a heavily used Waterman fountain pen from (I believe) the 1940's. Although the nib appears to be original and is most likely 14k, I don't have the right tools to take it out and verify without potentially damaging it. I have opened the body and inspected, and it will need disassembly to realign the fill bar with the handle as well as a sac replacement. The gold-plated/gold-filled exterior pieces are heavily worn and it looks like someone actually tried to paint the gold ring around the cap and then the paint ran. Anyway, great project pen for anyone who just wants to get into the hobby. I have no doubt this will work great once restored.
