p1907 SMLE Hook Quillon 303 bayo British 1st year production / issue is 1908. Unit marked on the pommel. Maker is Wilkinson.
Overall the bayo is in reasonable condition, the blade has staining, light salt & peppering both sides, with it being a bit heavier in the odd spot especially towards the tip,
I took large close ups of the worst areas without the flash as sometimes it hides the defects. so obviously the pitting is going to look HUGE
The bayo is still a good sturdy piece, grips are quite good, some very light pitting to metal fittings, they may clean up if so desired but I prefer to leave everything as found.
For the price this is a good bayonet.
