Original 1855 handwritten Austrian document from the Imperial-Royal Police Directorate in Vienna. Addressed to the City Court of Hermagor, the letter instructs that citizen Joseph Singer be issued an official protocol concerning the custody transfer of an elderly woman named Henriette, known as \"Aunt Lise\" (N.C. 2356). Signed by a Police Captain and dated August 21, 1855.
A fine example of mid-19th century Austrian bureaucratic and legal correspondence, written in German Kurrent script. Excellent for collectors of antique European legal documents or police history.
Includes docketing on reverse.
Condition: Very good with light age wear.

Joseph Singer with the official protocol
regarding the transfer of custody of the elderly woman
Henriette, known as Aunt Lise, N.C. 2356,
which is currently being carried out by the honorable city court.
This should be picked up, and thus by the 27th of this month,
no further obstacles should remain.
Since he has already received the necessary authorization
formulated by decree,
the approval has effectively already been granted.

die auf ihm im Anzuge des löbl. Stadt Gerichts
gegenwärtig durchgeführte Heimschaffung der
Alten Henriette genannt Tante Lise N.C. 2356 –
abgeholt, und somit am 27. d. Mts [dieses Monats] weniger,
sind aufrecht zu finden. Da demselben der
nötige mit Verfügung formulierte Auftrag
bei also die Gestattung schon vorliegt.
