Bawidamann Pogn-L Top Edge | Acid Etched Gray + Dirty Bronze Patina | CPM S35VN | G10 Chunk Handles
The Pogn has been part of Ben Bawidamann's lineup since at least 2011, when it showed up at BLADE Show and Ben made the move to CPM S35VN powder steel. The Pogn-L is its longer version and the knife his lineup is built around: a medium fixed blade with a thin, tanto-profile edge that slices cleanly, carried in a frame small enough to wear every day.
Top Edge. The upper swedge is sharpened as well as the main edge, which gives the tanto point a second working edge for piercing and back cuts.
The finish. The blade is acid etched in two tones, gray and dirty bronze. Each one is finished by hand, so the pattern on this blade belongs to this blade alone.
The grip. Bawidamann's "chunk" G10 handles are carved in sculpted blocks, so your hand locks onto them in a standard or reverse grip without the handle chewing up your palm.
