Tulum El Castillo Maya Temple Tourists Climbing Steps Mexico Film Slide 1970s For Sale

This striking view shows El Castillo, the main temple pyramid at the Maya walled city of Tulum in Quintana Roo, Mexico, with tourists climbing its broad stone staircase and gathering on the summit shrine. Collapsed masonry and smaller platforms frame the pyramid on both sides while puffy white clouds float across a clear blue sky. A few visitors rest at the base of the steps, a reminder of the era when climbing the ruins was still permitted. Crisp detail and rich color make this Drewry Photocolor slide from the 1970s a standout for collectors of Maya archaeology, Mexican travel and vintage tourism history.
