It is a well-known fact that “Plus Sized” clothing can be more expensive than most. Some of the major players in plus size fashion would have us paying over $100.00 for a simple dress that frankly wasn’t quality made.
I have done the research, put in the legwork so to speak and discovered when I am on a budget and need an outfit, I can usually always depend on Old Navy. I remember the days back when they carried their plus size line in the stores but now we have been banished to online shopping only. At first I was offended and made a huge deal about it and even contacted their headquarters for a reasonable answer. Their answer was simple: we don’t sell enough plus size clothes to fill the shelves. I was shocked because I know I’m not alone, the globe is filled with vivacious curvy girls in need of cute clothes that don’t break our bank accounts……right?
However, I knew my sisters were out there, starved for cute and affordable clothes just as I was.
So I have come to share the wealth of knowledge that is Old Navy: Plus size online store. I love the variety, extended sizes, clothes are well made and also affordable. I like the fact that there is always a sale online, free shipping at times and free returns (in case something doesn’t fit).
It is not all sunshine and cookies, there are a few things I’d like on the record. They have a bad habit of regurgitating styles but in a different pattern and often make some of their clothes too thin. I’d also like to see a sexier variety, some styles are very “Little House on the Prairie” and could use an extra spark. In addition, I am not a fan of their accessories and shoes but that doesn’t mean someone else won’t like them.
Overall though it’s a great, solidly consistent place to get plus sized fashion. Here are a few of the things I LOVE most about ON fashion.
- They allow shoppers to review clothes and include topics like: true to size, too big or too small and everything about the fit and materials
- Reviews are usually pretty accurate
- Fully stocked clearance section
- They pair clothing together so we can see whole outfits
- They offer a very large selection of tops and bottoms
- Always offer discounts
- You can pair basics like shirts and tanks that are cheaper with other stores more expensive items for a layered look
